SUKI WDH716 Dehumidifier Reviews & Testimonials

Have had the dehumidifier running. The apartment feels soooo much better – the cold weather doesn’t seem to bite as much.

It hasn’t been raining a whole heap (which is when the apartment really gets musty) but I have no doubt that when it does it won’t affect the comfort levels at home.

It’s actually less "cold" not because it’s literally warmer (because I had my heater anyway) but because the air is dryer.

Yay! Wonderful investment I made...I’m a bit scared about what the electricity bill will look like in 2 months time though!

A. Dal Pra, Wollstonecraft NSW.

It is now one week since I set up the two Suki 716’s in our downstairs room.

The Suki 716’s have removed over 80 litres of water between them in this one week. I have measured, recorded in Excel and graphed the amount of water removed whenever I have emptied the tanks (the drain is not yet attached so that I can determine what is happening). My graph shows that the rate of water removal is slowly decreasing along with a lowering of the relative humidity, from an initial 8.7 L/day/machine at 75%RH to 3.2 L/day/machine at 40-45%RH.  My base calculations show that 100 cu m of air at 28°C and 100%RH contains about 3.1 litres of water vapour, give or take a bit. That means the remainder of the water (some 77+ L) must be being drawn from the room contents and especially from the walls.

The room is a little over 100 cu m in volume (6.5m x 4.5m x 3.5m approx.) and is unlined brick. About half of the S and E walls are below ground level. The room was OK up until the Newcastle earthquake which obviously disrupted the seal between the slab and the walls as well as the membrane on the outside of the walls.

With both machines still set at 30%RH the air in the room is drying out and is now down to between 40% & 45%RH after starting at 75%RH. The maximum rate of water removal for each Suki 716, even at 75%RH, has never exceeded about 9 L/day or less, not the 16 L/day advertised but this is probably limited not by the machine’s capacity but rather by the rate of air circulation around the room and the rate at which water is evaporating from the walls and room contents.

All the above has meant that I am extremely happy with my purchase, the results the Suki 716’s have achieved, and your fine service. Regards.
